2001/2002 Crime Figures

Crime figures have been released by British Transport Police for 2001/2002, and in general it's good news for the London Underground Area (which also covers the DLR). Crime has fallen in general by 0.6% with 14278 offences compared with 14370 for the year before.

Theft of Passenger Property showed a welcome fall, but still accounted for over half the total offences commited. However Theft of Railway Property and Drugs offences showed large percentage rises of 107.4% and 81.2% respectively.
