Waterloo & City Line Reopened

The Waterloo & City Line has reopened again after being closed for safety reasons following the derailment of a Central Line train at Chancery Lane.

The four trains that serve "The Drain" have had emergency modifications made to their motor fixings. They have been tested and their return to service has been approved by the Health and Safety Executive.

The news was announced by Rob Mason, LU's Customer Services Director (trains) who said, "I'm sure this will come as welcome news for the thousands of customers who regularly use this line to get to and from work."

Around 48,000 passengers use "The Drain" daily. The line runs only between Waterloo and Bank stations.
